Strong Passwords & # 8211; Add a Meaningful Symbol to Increase Password Strength

Posted on January 16, 2018 By

In today' s online world, getting a strong password is a must. However, the problem along with strong passwords is that they can be difficult to remember. Altering the passwords a person currently use by adding a significant symbol is one step towards which makes them difficult for Internet thieves to crack. Here is a listing of symbols, some suggested uses, and several examples of how to incorporate all of them into your passwords:

! excitement, solid emotion

@ the notice A, the word "at"

# number, pound, tic-tac-toe

dollar money, value, the letter T

% a part of some thing

^ raised eyebrow, inverted V

& the word "and", this and that, twins

(the letter c, the moon

) the moon; anything lunar; crazy

* sunny, vivid, starry

+ adding something to another

= stability, equanimity, this equals that

this is greater than that, this is over the age of that

? unknown, variable, sketchy

~ water, wind

Here are three examples. When you see the symbol in them, research the above list to see how it really is used.

First example:

1 . Your 1st child daughter' s initials are JLM

2 . She was born within 1987

3. She offers a sunny and bright predisposition

Potential password: * 1stJ87lm

Second example:

1 . You are a double

2 . Your initials are usually ABO

3. Your twin' s initials are STO

4. The last two numbers of your Social Security Number are usually: 58

Potential password: Abo58 & Sto

Third illustration:

1 . Your earliest child' s initials are MWP

2 . Your next earliest child' s initials are SEP

3. They were created in 1981 and 1983, correspondingly

Potential password: Mwp81> 83Sep

Here are six even more tips for strong passwords:

  • Spell letters phonetically: the initials ABO can become AyBeeOh
  • Use both upper and lower case letters
  • Use at least one number
  • Do not begin or end the particular password with a number
  • Make the password at least 8 characters
  • Practice your new security password in your word processor; get it to flow smoothly off your fingers

I strongly suggest that you quit everything, go, right now, and change your banking and any kind of financially sensitive passwords. Other forms of passwords can wait. Do this now, before you forget.
